School Crossing

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to inform you that, from Friday 8th November, there will no longer be a school crossing patrol person outside the school.

Miss Lindsey, who has carried out this role, has made the difficult decision to step down due to her very busy schedule at the school and is unable to continue committing the time required for this position.

Responsibility for the crossing patrol now lies with Pembrokeshire County Council, who will be conducting a viability study to determine whether the role remains necessary. If the post is deemed no longer viable, the Council with information all relevant stakeholders, including parents and the school community.

Until the surveys have been completed and a decision made there will be no school crossing patrol person outside the school. We therefore strongly encourage all parents and children to take extra care when crossing the road at the start and end of the school day.

We will continue to keep you updated as soon as we receive further information from the Council.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Regards,

Simon Thomas
