Letter from Mrs K Jones Headteacher 24062026

Dear Parents and Carers,
As you will be aware, we are currently experiencing a continued period of extreme hot weather. The safety and wellbeing of all pupils is our priority, and we would be grateful for your support in helping children stay cool and comfortable. They are coping well and the staff have creatively designed activities to help keep them happy, healthy and safe at this time so a big thanks to them.
Please ensure your child:
· Brings a named water bottle to school each day (we will encourage regular drinking).
· Wears light, loose-fitting clothing and a sun hat.
· Has sun cream applied before school; children may bring a named bottle to reapply if needed.
We continue to take additional precautions in school including ventilating spaces, providing extra covered areas, limiting strenuous outdoor activities, providing extra shaded areas, and ensuring regular breaks in cooler spaces. We will continue to monitor your child and communicate with if we are concerned.
To ensure that they enjoy this hot period we have bought a large supply of ice lollies for all. Tomorrow, we hope that we can have some fun. We would like children to bring a towel, change of clothes and water pistol if they have one so that they can have some hot weather fun to keep cool!
We will continue to monitor the situation and will let you know there are any changes so please monitor your emails and our social media to stay informed.
Thank you for your continued support.

Kind regards,

Mrs Katie Jones
