Dear Parents and Carers,
We are pleased to share with you an updated style of end-of-year report that your child will be bringing home.
As we continue to strengthen our home-school partnership, we have listened carefully to feedback from parents who told us they would value more detailed information about their child’s learning. In particular, you shared that you would like clearer insight into:
· where your child is in their learning
· the progress they are making
· how you can best support them at home
In response to this, we have made important adjustments to our reports to ensure they are more informative, purposeful, and easy to understand.
The new report format has been designed to:
· Provide greater clarity about your child’s current attainment and progress
· Highlight strengths and areas for development across the curriculum
· Offer clear next steps so you understand what your child is working towards
· Give practical guidance on how you can support learning at home
· Ensure appropriate support and challenge, reflecting our high expectations for every pupil
Reports will be sent home next Friday, along with information about your child’s class for the next academic year. On our website we will also publish our year group expectations, so you can find further information on how to help and support your child based on their teacher’s ongoing assessments so we can work together to ensure our children reach their full potential whilst at Lamphey Primary. Their Personalised Assessment results from year 2-6 are also available through their HWB login. Click on Personalised Assessments and your child’s most recent will be available along with parental/carer support guidance. If you need support with accessing these, please speak to their class teacher.
We will be available during the final week of term to discuss your child’s report and answer any questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to arrange a conversation.
