Welcome from the Headteacher

To pupils, parents & carers

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends,

It is my absolute pleasure and privilege to be the Headteacher of this incredible primary school from January 2026. The reputation of Lamphey, and the successes of both its past and present pupils, are well-established. I feel very blessed and honoured to build on this legacy by ensuring that these successes continue to grow into the future.

Nestled in the heart of this village community, our school radiates an extremely warm, positive, friendly, and inclusive ethos that provides an enriching education for every child. We are currently home to over 170 children aged between three and eleven, learning together within six classes. We also have an active playgroup, linked with our part-time nursery class, forming an integrated Early Years unit. This allows us to welcome and nurture even younger members within our school.

At Lamphey, we share high expectations for every individual at all ages, and foster a culture of respect, pride, and aspiration. Our excellent team takes care to build strong relationships with our children and their families. Together, we work collaboratively as a community to achieve the best outcomes for all. We ensure our children experience and develop the core values of our school, celebrating uniqueness and individuality, to build a happy and healthy community.

To achieve our school vision, we encourage and develop each child’s abilities and talents, helping them grow into confident, independent individuals. We believe that it is essential for our pupils to think critically, reason effectively, and understand how a positive mindset contributes to success. Outdoor learning, and the opportunity to take part in active, real life experiential learning, individually and collectively, are also central to our vision, leading to deep and meaningful learning.

I am extremely proud of our children and staff and look forward to the exciting journey ahead as we continue to grow and learn together.

If you would like to come and look around our school or would like to talk about what we offer our children, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
Mrs K Jones
